Stupid Z brake question

I have a set of Z32 front calipers.....

What do I measure to determine what size they are? The space in between the pads? Or remove the pads and measure in between the pistons?

I need to know so I know what size rotors to order.

as a side note, i have had 2 calipers sent to me(rebuilt) that were supposed to be 26mm style calipers.

instead i got one that was in between the 30 and the 26. looks like when it got rebuilt one side was that of a 26mm, and the other half of a 30mm.

i know this sounds really stupid, but i had a 26mm caliper on my desk, a 30mm caliper, and one that was in betweeen. sounds stupid, but if u try rebuilding a couple calipers, u can imagine how a company could put half of a 26mm and a 30mm caliper together and send it to me.><

rawr, bad ac delco!!!! bad dog
