flooding, why?

ok well noone really responded to my other thread, maybe it was just too complicated, basically the engine is flooding, I drove it around, backfired and progressively got worse and worse to the point of not starting. s13 redtop, maf is good, just got 600 cc injectors from deatchwerks, which are all working, I tested them, because He sent me a bad one at first which he replaced, so they are all good now. enthalpy tuned, and I know he has a very good record, so im wondering what the hell is going on, any help is good, I am at a dead end and next step is to sell everything off. AND DONT ASK FOR PARTS HERE. IM NOT PARTING IT OUT YET. btw, engine worked fine with stock injectors, stock ecu, z32 maf with safc, and stock turbo, now after upgrade, this shits goin on, so im thinking it has to be something with ecu tune?

flooding? sounds like you've got too much fuel, put more air in and you'll be good

make sure the lower o-rings on the injectors didnt tear or damage when installing. bad o-ring will allow fuel pass by without going through injector(explaining you excess fuel). just take 20min and pull fuel rail and check em out.

Check the MAF voltages at the ECU like I told you? I swear you haven't fixed the wiring from when you ripped out the SAFC.

Yup the injector O rings. Same thing happened to me when I installed Tomei 740's. One of the smaller lower inj. O rings got pinched when they were pressed in. Caused fuel to dump pass the injector once the fuel rail got primed.

Unbolt the enire fuel rail but leave the injectors connected and plugged in. Turn the key on to prime the fuel rail. The injector with the bad O ring should start leaking. You can also isolate the injector by pulling the plugs to see which ones wet. Make sure to lube up the rings before installing the injectors... and press them down while twisting until they snap in.

man i have the same problem as you... i got the 600cc injectors from the same place and enthalpy tune ... i put it in last week and the car idles rough and doesnt want stay steady.... and then i shut it down and i can hear the injectors pulse once more.....

if u pull the fuse for the fuel pump and turn on the car and let it idle out and then turn the car back on agian with the fuse back it it should start up for you.

i heard alot of people say they think its the lower o-ring but i checked mine and its fine and some other people suggested the heat sensor or somthing and i have no clue what there talking about.

i am really pissed off about this and dont know what to do... it seems to be a big problem with people latly and they all have the same setups so it has to be all the same we just havent figured it out yet .... if you figure it out let me know right away b/c it sucks

k, s14db i know where your coming from, but its too late now to test maf becasue car wont start at all now,(I know I should have done it immediately when you told me but im dumb) thing is when I reconnected the wire, thats when it all went downhill, so I know wire was connected, becasue my shit changed and 100 percetn sure its the right wire because I followed the pinout, a buddy came over today, and had me put maf right up to my tb, so I am sure that it is not due to any leak of some sort, Tomarrow im going to hook another spark plug up to the coil to at least see if its sparking, I did pull fuel pump fuse and cranked, no luck, doesnt even want to sound like its combusting, ill check the injectors, but I would think it should run if the other three injectors are fine, I doubt 4 are bad, and it did run fine at idle before. honestly Ive stumped 4 other people that have come over so far to help fix this.

btw soawsome, ill let you know if I fix it but you better let me know if you figure out whats goin on, i mean this isnt brain surgery, but Im at my wits end with this shit.

either way with all the suggestions im getting ill just try them all, im going to pull the rail when my hand heals do to bullshit cutting knife, unless I can do this onehanded, and then if it at least gets running, ill test the maf. it boggles me because it wont even start in safe mode with maf disconnected.
