Last month my rocker arms came loose during a 3rd to 2ns gear shift and the only problem now is that I am unable to find 2 of the shims the rocker arms sit on.

The shims are very tiny & they look like watch batteries. From what I can tell they are some type of metal and not organic/rubber. Does anyone know where I can find replacement shims for my SR20DET? Does the Sentra SE-R shims share the same size shims as us?

Also, where does anyone think they are? If they are not in the head, I am not sure where else to look.

What DET do you have, Year? I can check with my friends..DO you have an aftermarket rocker arm stopper kit on?

I have a REDTOP SR20 and I have a set of Greddy rocker arm stoppers but I need to find the shims before I can re seat the dislocated rocker arms and I am scared the 2 missing rocker arms are going to find their way in the block and cause more damage...

Hey man I cant get shims from any DET's in junkyards cause they wont let me take parts out of the motors, i have this problem all the time..but they will sell me the full motor for 50,000 Yen,,,I may buy a red top just for parts and to build soon..I can check for a new set..but you can prolly do it there too from a nissan center like Mossy...

Don't worry about it - I get use the Sentra SE-R shims from the DE motor. If you can get me a center panel for a RHD s13, that would be awesome!
