S14 SE audio system help

just got my 95 SE, but 3 of the speakers are broken, only one still working, and I was tried to replace them, I used 6 ohm speakers from Honda(240's are 2 ohm Clairon with amp), but doesn't work, the headunit is also stock, I am not sure if it's ok.
so what can I do with it? any adapter for aftermarket cd player and speakers?
thx

well headunit can have something screwd up inside. this is what i'd do. see if there is power to the speakers ... if there is make sure grounds are not messed up to those speakers....if there is no power substitue a known good unit and try it if it still doesnt work you will need to look for an open in the speaker circuit.

heck id start with substituting a known good radio ...i am sure there is someone on here that can hlep you out. switchign them will only take like 20 mins tops

i am thinking there is a problem with the amp unless there is extra resistance due to damage in the wire or something of that sort in the wires but since its 3 speakers in different locations id say thats not possible

wiring new radio is cake. all you need is nissan harness from BestBuy them match up with harness that comes with the radio and youre done .

If you're gonna get a new radio I recommend bypassing the amp.
http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/st...ypass_amps.htm

You're also going to need an antenna adapter for the nissan diversity antenna and BTW I work at Best Buy as a mobile electronics installer
