I know most all S13's have the annoying "wiper squeak."
Getting completely new wipers from the dealer and even the triple edge silicone ones won't stop it.
From what I can gather, it is the blade pushed too firmly or too loosely against the glass.
The rear one doesn't do this sound BTW.
Has anyone fixed this problem?
Thanks,
Jeff

Rain-x on the windshield might also help to keep it from squeaking.  Not only that, but it sheets the rain off of the windshield w/o the use of the wipers, making the wipers that much more effective.  It's what airplanes use on their windshields and what motorcycle racers (and riders alike) put on their helmet visors.

I'm sure a simple adjustment of the spring can make the actual wiper blades closer and further though.

I don't like rain-x b/c when I use my windshield wipers it always creates huge white streaks (that fade of course). I prefer waxing the windshield.

I have 92' s13 and haven't experienced this wiper squek myself. I used Bosch wipers from pepboys. Work fione for me. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

You are supposed to treat rain-x like wax...wipe on, allow it to dry and then wipe off all excess residue. One of those steps must not have been followed enough...because I've never had any problems....

Edited...put wipe off, allow it to dry, and that didn't make any damned sense! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
