ok i got a big t3/t4 turbo, one piece downpipe to stock cat location, but no cat! now the exhaust isnt that loud to start because of the turbo all u hear is spool, but when i get off the throttle and or downshift, it sounds like a 12 gauge goin of under the car. what could be causeing this and if anyone has any ideas how do i fix it? thanx

that doesnt help + ur probably running an atmospheric BOV which u should recirculate

o and if that doesnt fix it (which it will or at least help it a lot), could be your timing, plugs/plug gap, etc.

but it was just as bad with the cat on, and why would the hks ssq cause it to backfire? i know its atmospheric but how does it cause it to backfire, when i am coming to a stop or downshiftin. doesnt do it when blowin off. i dont get it, i know i need new plugs soo thas first. but thanx for the info anyway

meter reads more air than there really is (because the ssq lets it out) and tells the ecu to add the fuel. you run rich for an instant and fill the exhaust. hence AFTERfire
