Exclamation car struggling to start...need advice

Hey guys, Ill just start off by saying my S13 got 180K and i just bought it a week ago. The problem i have is that the car struggles to start. Altogether, i started up the car about 6 times since i got it. But the last start up i did, the car struggled for a couple of seconds and then turned over. It never did that before and when i called the guy who sold me the car, he said he experienced that once in awhile also. My question is..... Is this the sign of my motor about to go bad?? And dont be a forum nerd and tell me to search cus i did. I checked the usual **** and i think the starter is dying out or not catching properly. Tommorow im gonna check my compression, cus i dont got a tester now, and see how much life this motor has. But any thoughts or ideas???

yea sounds like ur starter. hit the starter solenoid (smaller looking canister on the starter) with some sort of metal pipe and see if it starts easier.
