Talking Boost Designs Strikes Again!!!

I recently purchashed the "Boost Designs" shop car. I was told the car was running and that..as PJ would put it..needed "tweaked"..LMAO..thats hellarious...not only did the car not run..the battery was dead and when i put a batt. in it to pull it from the road to my garage after unloading it from the delivery ppl...the thing tried to fire and porceeds to dump a toilet bowl of fule all over my driveway...after pushing the car to the garage and popping the super cheasy cf hood...there sit a dremel tool fuel rial thats on a 20 degree angle from the injectors...hmmm..wander why its leaking. I called him and he says..no problem..just straighten it up and it will be fine...so..i get it uprighted..get some spacers made for it so it will actually stay there...turn the key...LMAO...the car tries to fire again..stumbles into a half-*** idle then dies...and now i get to clean up the quart of oil off my floor from the leaking turbo lines...to make a long story short...i bought a "running car that needs tweaked" and got a rolling pile of crap..and..i just found out the car has a salvaged title which i was never told....this guys stories never end...what goes aroiund comes around though...

sorry to hear about that, but if you knew they were so shady, why did you deal with them in the first place?

All states have lemon laws. Although they may not cover modified vehicles, "caveat emptor" can only go so far. There are laws stating that advertising needs to have some truths.
What I'm saying:

Call a lawyer. People don't do this near enough. You bought a car based on full-on lies. If the mechanical issues can't get you anything---
You have a 100% case on the salvage title!

A person cannot knowingly sell a car with a salvage title, and not inform the buyer. Some states won't even let you register a salvage car, so this is a major issue, and you'll win easily.

People need to stop saying they're going to get friends and fly to a city and beat people up. Or threaten with lawyers. If you get fucked, call a lawyer. It's nearly always a free consultation, and can get you un-fucked. PJ needs to go down.. you have one of the best cases out there. Do something about it.
-Jeff

Just be glad it has a salvage title, or you probably wouldn't have much of a case.

I think the funniest thing about this thread is that the original poster bought a car without test driving it or asking about the title.

seriously, I mean I feel sorry for the guy, but if he's actually for real, this was quite possibly the dumbest purchase ever...he knows the company is shady, yet he pays for the car without testing it at all or looking at the title...when the guy gave him the title he could've given it back right then.

Ok well that makes sense. But yeah if he sold you the car and didn't indicate it was salvaged he's pretty much screwed.

If you were in NJ you could file under the "Lemon Law" and sue him on top of that.

so how did you actually recieve the vehicle? when did you recieve the title?

See the problem I see with this is, even if you didn't test drive the vehicle, at one point in time he had to transfer the title to you...only a very A. trusting or B. gullible person would purchase a vehicle and then await the title. My argument is that the second you saw the title was not clear you should have refused the purchase, or at least looked deeper.

As I said before, I feel sorry for you and hope you at least get your money back, but this falls under the category buyer beware. He may have falsely advertised on ebay, but that doesn't tell me that you're free and clear from being at fault.

This issue is now in the hands of my lawyer. I havent recieved a title on the car yet..and to answer your question..A..very trusting...i like to take a man for his word...if a mans word is no good he is no good. I even have emails stating he would test drive it for a week to have it running and work all the bugs out. It is fruad plain and simple..he got away with it from everyone else but not me. His days of misleading ppl are over..period.

NEVER BUY cars on ebay!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever happened to going out and looking at the car in person? The only time I would bid on a ebay car is if the owner lived within 30miles of me so I could see the car during auction.......
Now ebay sellers can delete there negative feedback for $20, so really why would I want a car from EBAY.........
You should of printed out all pics before buying the car, you should of also asked for the VIN since it was a car for sale...... Should of done a carfax report which EBAY offers now........
You just showed everyone what not to do......
Yeah so what if you work six days out of the week, there are a total of 7......
Just sayz you were lazy and waisted your hard earned money.......
Are you serious, buying from PJ, I thought his business went down a couple months ago??????????????

Besides there is no case if you didn't research the car first. It doesn't matter what his lies are you are responsible, when it comes to the exchange of money....
But what you can do is ruin his rep and start a class action lawsuit with all the people that have bought crap from him......

Actually you're wrong. Its illegal to sell a car with a salvaged title without notify the buyer.

Whether he went to look at the car or not makes NO difference, he was still sold a car with a salvaged title.

But, why the hell did you buy a car without the title!
