big oil leak and really loud rattling

After coming back from my first day of college, I start to hear this rattling sound as i accelerate and it gets louder as i keep going. Now i'm thinking its my turbo because I feel like i'm not boosting. I won't be able to look at my turbo til it cools down and it was smoking somewhat when i opened my hood. On top of that I'm leaking a lot of oil whenever I accelerate. No idea where it's coming from right now. I'm waiting for my friend's floorjack and we're gunna take a look. I'll keep posting if I have any more problems. My questions now is if anyone has had this problem before or heard of it and knows a solution. Btw I have a S14 SR20DET.

Turns out its not my turbo. Oil seems to spill out somewhere on the passenger side of the engine. My alternator is covered in oil.... The rattling seems to be a timing chain problem. Now people say all i have to do is take off the timing chain guide at the top? How does this solve the rattling problem?

sounds EXACTLY like my problem, your rings are shot, the boost your turbo is making is blowing past the rings, exiting out of the valve cover and taking lots of oil with it, the rattling noise is probably due to the fact that you have no oil anymore and no oil pressure to keep tension on the chain. Do a compression check.
