My S13's cruise control isnt working. I do know that it has to be something electrical thats wrong with it because the light on the dash doesn't come on when any of the cruise buttons are pressed. thanks for the help.

By any chance did you just finish doing a manual conversion, cause after that you won't have no cruise unless you rewire the whole system. If that's not the case just do the basic stuff. whip out the FSM and check the fuses and connections.

A 5speed swap does not affect cruise at all.

Get an FSM and begin the diagnostic, there's no way you can expect us to know what's wrong with it. There's several parts to the system, any one of which could be the problem.

The car has been a 5-speed all its life. I have seen people mention FSM but what is it?

I thought it meant Factory Service Manual. Maybe just a different name for the same thing. Anyways. A good multi-meter will no doubt help you out.
