I have a Injen Intake, does the air filter matter on my power, if so what kind of air filter should i get? &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>

The intake should have come with a filter. You should be fine with that.

some different brands claim to have different power gains...it won't really matter if you get into the higher end brands...the performance gains between brands may range from .5-1 HP...

it depends more on if the filter is dirty or not. a new K&N might flow 2 more hp than a new stock, but a new K&N might flow 5 or more hp than an old stock, hence people thinking they get huge gains from changing air filters.

if you don't believe my logic, come over to my house, i'll eat some tuna salad and proceed to take a dump on your air filter, then go drive around and see how she runs.

Once again, one of the mindless masses following the crowd without doing research on their product. (sorry.. had to vent a little)

DO NOT CHANGE THE FILTER FROM THE INJEN INTAKE. It is what INJEN says gives their intake the edge over others out their. The Filter they suppluy is specifically designed with a velocity stack to increase Air velocity through the intake. A K&N filter will not have this, and you should technically Loose power by switching filters.

edit - BTW &nbsp;your use of "Mader" for the title was WAY off.. &nbsp;not only is it the wrong word, but it's not really a word. &nbsp;Matter would have been correct. &nbsp;correct use of "Mader" would be "More Mad". &nbsp;(yes I'm in a pissy mood.)
