Stick the STi engine and tranny in an MR-S.

low center of gravity from boxer + weight in middle + beefy 6spd + lightweight plastic body and make an elise killer

isn't the elise mostly Toyota though?

the 2zz-ge in the elise is taken from the Celica GT-S. You can swap it in the MRS just as easy and you basically have a cheaper version of the Elise.

That doesnt handle as beautifully as you will ever hear from the real Lotus;stock ofcourse "Poor mans Elise" is the best way to put it. If you want the best you're paying for it
