Small Displacment Engine Turbo choices w/specs inside.
I basicly openened this thread for those who are intrested in turbo specifications for specific ar.'s and Flow testings. Before i compleetly open this thead i would like to state that i am also intrested in one or more of th ese turbos to be equiped on my 1809cc ca18det, so any info you may have or words you wish to express on what you think might be the most applicable choice of turbo would be muchly appreciated.
This Could become a sticky if more of the forums memebers came in and sicussed their set ups and turbine knawlege. ok First i'll start off on the lower Turbos. the T2. serries -t25 Origin s13 Ca18det ar. 48 Turbine ar. ? Compressor -t25g Origin s13 sr20det ar. 64 Turbine ar. 80 Compressor Flow Capacity of 230hp -gt25r garrett turbine ar. 64 Turbine ar. 80 Compressor Flow Capacity of 250hp -gt2510 HKS line Turbine TURBINE: -Wheel- 62 Trim - 53.0 Major / 41.7 Exducer -Housing- GT25 inlet / Internal GT25 oulet - 0.64 A/R COMPRESSOR: -Wheel- 63 Trim - 47.7 Inducer / 60.1 Major -Housing- 60 Inlet / 50 Outlet - 0.60 A/R Flow Capacity of 300hp -t28g Origin GTiR Pulsar AWD ar . ? Turbine ar. ? Compressor Flow Capacity of 300+hp -gt28r Origin S15 sr20det ar. 64 Turbine ar. 60 Compressor Flow Capacity of 310hp For those of you who are Running any of the former gt25 serries turbo's what is normal boost spool up and when does pressure drop. Beacsue i'm new to turbo's i do not fully understand these compressor and turbin maps. here is the set up i had in mind for my vehicle, keep in mind that high HP is not my goal. just quick spool up and a good responsive engine. Plan 300 wheel dyno/ 270 wheel street Use grip/drift/touge quick spooling turbo w/pressure drop after 7k Barnett PND 1089cc Possibly Slight bore to 1854cc Complete bottom end balance cp pistons crower rods metal Head gastket 3angle valve jobb full exhaust port ka24e throttle body z32 AFM 550cc Injectors HKS 264 cams FMIC, full turbo back exhaust Eprom or FLASH ecu w/piggy back safc walbro 255 lph fuel pump gt2510 HKS turbine again this post is open to those who want to share their set ups and or ideas with turbine knawlege. brandon. |
