I was wondering if I could fabricate my own oil lines for my 240SX turbo project.
Are the adapters to the oil pressure unit to the oil feed universal? For the oil return line, I think they are universal... So would a universal kit work, and who sells them? |

just get braided steel lines with the proper AN fittings. The turbine side will depend on what turbo you use, the drain fitting into the oil pan will depend on what fitting you choose to tap into the pan with.
You'll definitely need to T off the oil pressure sender, and from a FA thread regarding the size of the oil pressure sender fitting: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"> I just measured a 1/8 NPT adapter thing I had sitting around and it had a 0.194" inner diameter. That's a little bigger than 3/16" (and, as we all now know, 3/16 = -3AN). The oil sender is 1/8 BSPT, which is pretty close in size to 1/8 NPT (the difference is the thread pitch and the thread angle).</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

Why can't we all just use the metric scale (makes so much more sense) and be happy?? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
![]() "just bigger than 3/16" sounds suspiciously close to 5mm to me. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>

If you're in SoCali just go to Earl's on Hawthorne. They'll make that stuff while you wait.

Do they do general fabrication? What about manifolds? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> |

heres my planned setup, i've posted it on freshalloy too:
Vortech FMU ~$150 SOHC Manifold, Ceramic coated $300 used t3 turbo ~$? downpipe used BOV ~$? (i am going to pick one up in japan, maybe a few extra to sell in the states <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> ) XS Engineering intercooler with endtanks. 24.00" x 11.00" x 3" 2"-2.5" intercooler piping, made with j-bends from S&S (which would be better?) Walbro fuel pump ~$120 uhh...other stuff, maybe that i cant remember... also, what do i do with all the vacuum hoses that are currently connected to the air intake? Can i just put breathers on those? |

plumb them into the intake piping before the compressor, probably in between the compressor and the MAF, assuming you aren't using a blow-through setup.
