Turbo Outlet Choices/Fitment..

I see a lot of dealers who bring in different kinds of Japan brand turbo outlets.. but they never talk about fitment issues. I just wanted to know what kind of Japan outlets some of you guys have that actually fit well (besides Greddy and any other American made brand), so I can decide on which one to get.

some brands i'm thinking about are Tomei, Power Enterprise, HPI and a few others..

And just a FYI, HKS outlets won't fit s13's, my cousin had one but had to get rid of it since it didn't fit at all.. its too bad since the HKS ones are to me the nicest outlets, plus it has a seperate pipe for the wastegate.

thanks

fwiw the hks 'style' turboxs elbow is the opposite of heterosexual.

what i mean by that is, it's
A) 2.5" out
B) the wastegate reentry is poorly done
C) O2 sensor is really in the way
D) flanges are made of soft metal which may have
E) warped upon manufacturing, requiring you to deck it
F) the 5 bolt flange is made to look fancy, and in doing so will only make a 1/16"th seal for about 1/2" between two of the 3 bottom bolts.

but then again, it's only $75.

i got a megan, and it seems to fit great so far, but we havent bolted up the tranny and put it in yet. the construction is really nice though, the only problem is it isnt divided (not too big of a deal). all the stuff on ebay that ive seen looks like crap though, if you need to know why, i'll post a link to my review sometime.

I have no idea what brand this one is, but it was taken off a car in a junkyard in Japan.

i haven't heard bad things about the greddy ones, i plan on getting one. as for the megan ones, i heard that if they're tortured enough, the welds tend to break easily.
