Yeah.... so our autoX results are up.
Me, Jose (Drifting Ricer), and Charlie (SR20VET) ran in STS: Top time on our class was a WRX @ 49.343 I came in second with my '95 S14 @ 49.501 Do you have ANY idea how much it sucks to be beaten by .124 seconds (which isn't really that small of a margin, but small enough for me to scratch my head over). Next time... I'll get 'em. SR20VET (Charlie) busted a 56.326, which is a pretty good time considering he should have been running in G-Stock, not STS with me and Jose. The only reason he was bumped up was his removal of the power steering Drifting Ricer (Jose) had a 58.310 which is at least better than not finishing, although it states that he only had 3 ff course runs where we originally thought he had 4... maybe an error in his favor? The last 240sx running in Street Mod pulled a 47.329 on his last run.... coming in 2nd in his class. We'll do better next time... we promise

SR20VET??? Am I missing something? I thought the SR20VET was only available in the Japanese X-Trail. Doesn't it put out around 260 PS? How could he be in G stock or STS. I thought motor swaps put you in MOD. Anyways, how many people were running in STS? The WRX in the hands of a SKILLED driver does pretty well at the courses here although this guy who rallies kicks the WRX's asses with his stock 2.5RS. Sounds like you know how to plow them cones Good job.

So anyways, WRX's are nasty, sure, but that just makes me nastier being able to keep up with (and almost beat) 'em.

damn, I should have paid more attention. I see SR20VET and I get sidetracked It sounds like such a sweet motor.
At the last 4 events here, on average the 2.5RS drivers run 1-2 seconds better than the WRX guys. I imagine the 2.5 RS guys have just had their cars longer. I hate to say it but those ITR's are fast around the cones. Driver skill is the great equalizer though, I've seen a 87 Ford Escort kick ass on 98% of the cars running. Puck 97 SE with stuff

Nice work gents! Around there, the 2.5's are also faster than WRX's. mostly b/c we have a few nationally competitive Subie drivers who are driving 3-4 year old cars that they've set up. The 2.5 0nWz STS (all 4 top positions) (slowest 2.5 is 2 sec. ahead of fastest WRX).
Geez - to put it in perspective I would have been 18th in STS! hell, I sucked in GS thanks to a heard of Neons, CRXs, and SE-Rs. damn little FF cars Autox ... time for more track days |

I'd say it's more cornering/handling, but power does make a difference.... for instance i'm peaking 2nd by the end of the faster sloloms, while other cars might be able to get into 3rd. when you get to the top positions in any class, every tenth of a second counts

the SR20VET is used in the X-trail, which is a truck... so I'm hoping it's RWD or AWD??
