Exclamation the right Offset

Hi, I need a new weels for mine '95 240sx se. I wont to go with 17, from 7 to 8(didn't decided yeat), but I'm worried about the right Offset of the weel. No problem for the rear but for the front ones. I have tein coilovers, and they don't give me lots of room to play with Offset. So what is the right size of weel do I need (17inch)7 and 7.5 and 8...
Oh... and ther's no f@%$ way I poot spacer on my car.... Thank you...

on a s14? get 8" wide if you don't want wider. and get 8" all around. don't run some stupid staggered set up. as for offset, the closer to 0mm offset you can find, the better.

Why is a staggered set-up stupid?

i dont think zanpoopy know what he's talking about.
17x8 with +0 will look nasty on an s14. wheels will stick out way too far.
chuvak. how flush do you want your wheels? rim flush or tire flush? would you have a problem with pulling or rolling your fenders?
for 17x8, +15 to +25 would be fine. and no need to run stretch tires with stock camber would do fine.

nothing is wrong with staggered wheel setup. stock FR cars come stock like this, IE: 350z, g35, corvette, camaro, mustang, etc.

i would do 17x8 +15 rear with 235/45 tires. 17x7 +20 front with 225/45

Agreed, but I would stay closer to +25 on x8" unless you wanna have to run stupid camber to get them under the fender well.

if you have a bunch of wheels lying around, run staggered all you want.

if you have one set of wheels and one set of tires, its better to get the same width all around so you can rotate them.

to borrow from the picture thread...

rbs14's car:

fn01rc 9"+15mm

9" +15 outer clearance should be the same as an 8" +2mm

if you think that's sticking out too much, that's your call.

edit: closest i could find. 15x8 +0mm (supposedly). it should give you an idea of how they'll sit, at any rate. good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Yes, but what about front ones? coilover's spring seats at less than 1" from the OEM weel. if I put wider weels I have to worry not just how the will stick out, but will they touch the spring.???
And I don't have any fender conversions... it's all original

Yeah but if those fenders are pulled on the green S14 then you cant make a accurate determination unless you know exactly how much the fendre is pulled exactly.

Are S14 fenders really that much wider than S13 fender front and rear?

Here's a pic of my 18x8+30 on my S13 coupe with stock fenders no pulling what so ever, you can see in the rear that I have to camber the wheels in so they dont stick out past the fender.

first, your car looks great.

second, i don't think the green s14 has pulled fenders. im pretty damn positive the red one doesn't.

third, i have no idea s13 vs. s14. i don't know anything about s13 wheel sizing.

haha, those are not pulled at all. In fact I don't even think there rolled cause you can see the fender liner in first pic.

S14 fenders are definately wider than S13 fenders. So don't look at S13's when looking for S14 wheel size and offsets.

roll pull and stretch... the only way to go... go 18x9 17 offset, and 18x10 +12 offset.

or just be boring and normal like everyone else...

like i said... get a low offset 8" wide wheel. the wheel is wider, but the much lower offset moves the wheel much farther away from the strut more then enough to compensate.

whats the offset on the stock 5 lug se wheels? iirc they are 16x6.5 +40mm (not sure)? assuming that's the right size, running a 8" +0 you will have 21mm MORE inner clearance then your stock wheels. so feel free to choose between 8" +0mm and 8" +21mm.

God thats an ugly picture of my s14...lol

Yeah, those are 8 inchers, +0 offset. It was lowered on Eibach sportlines and agx's, if you were on coilovers you might have to roll the fenders, but I doubt youd need any pulling.
