parents got a new tv
flew up to see my parents for the holidays, and on the way to the house from the airport, we stopped off and picked up a new tv



it's 50" HD Hitachi widescreen
goes well with the HD direct tv shit they just got too. then i watched the dvd quality vids of night drift and thundergrip on it. holy shit. it's very nice

It's a 50". You don't measure a tv vertically, you measure it diagnolly.

my parents had a 50" widescreen Hitachi LCD which was good but had a burnt in red spot so with their store credit they got a 50" Zenith plasma which SUCKS (HDMI shit doesnt work right - zenith, circuit city, and cable people came to look at it). the sound and picture is pretty good, but not what it SHOULD be for that kind of money. so they're gonna return it and i think get a 50" Sony LCD which is supposed to be fucking AMAZING. im not at home too much since im off at school, but coming home and watching HD shit on it is awesome. the NFL games in HD and Discovery HD are the greatest things ever. the picture is just fucking ridiculous.

ps - don't buy a 50" Zenith plasmas, they're shit.
