Tie rod end play?

When the front two wheels are in the air and I start wiggling them they seem to have a lot of play coming from the tie rod end. I just replaced my tie rod end a year ago possibly. Is there supposed to be any play coming from the tie rod end?

no there should be no play at all. i am assuming you replaced outer tie rods...so now the inner are worn out. Normaly its best to do inner and outer at once. Other thing that can happen sometimes is if you overtighten the nut on the end the boot gets twisted and after few months cracks and allows dirt to get in so they last very little.

It is possible your rack is worn out but usualy you dont see that till well over 150k
