subframe spacers/collars

I just installed some t3 ones today and Im geting a shitload of whirring noises coming from the diff among other clunking which I know is normal. I could care less about all the noises but is it gonna wear my diff bearings? when im slowing down or barely pressing the gas it makes this loud whirring noise..anyone else get this noise also? Do these spacers and collars change the pinion angle at all?

well I just drove it around all day and its still doing it,,took it on the highway and it gets more high pitched and annoying,,,
thatsmekid-do you also have the collars with yours that go on top of the bushing also? I was thinking about mabie not using the collars and leaving just the spacers to see if it makes a difference..

Halo-the urethane ones are whiteline correct? those are just the bottom spacer right..

A little noise should be normal. I really only hear it in the first few minutes of driving while my diff is cold and I'm engine braking in first gear down the hill from my garage. By the time I get to the end of my block I really only hear faint noises. I suppose these noises would be much worse with a performance diff, but I'm still rocking the stock unlimited one.

My guess is there's no adverse effects aside from transmitting a little more noise. They don't seem to relocate anything, just stiffen it up further. Not that I have looked specifically, but I have not come across any posts that say subframe spacers destroyed their driveline in the 3 years I've been on various forums.

Oh, by the way, mine are T3 as well.

The sub frame spacers take the slop out of the suspension so that when you hit a bump it starts using the suspension right away instead of traveling the gap first, right? If so your sub frame is sitting bottmed out and the noise is maybe just vibration and harmonics coming from any and all moving parts firmly connected to the chassis? It seems to me like more noise would be inevitable, but?

I have Powertrix aluminum ones installed and I didn't hear any weird noises before or after they were installed. That's a bit strange...

are yours like the 4 piece ones I installed? My write up is in the tech...I like the fact that all the slop is gone and now my suspension is taking all the shock immediately..on launch I have at least 80% less wheel hop..sh1t I hook hard all the way through 3rd now..and sliding the ass out if I want is easier as well..almost effortless..It just feels like I am now more connected...the decel whine, and shit is cool with me..

I have the SPL 8-piece spacers and I get the little noises at low speeds slightly accel. and decel. as well... I've always ignored it since the subframe is now metal-on-metal contact with the rest of the car, as opposed to the rubber of the bushing before. People with the Powertrix 4-piece style don't notice the noises as much since they don't have those upper collars transmitting the noise.

the interior noise on my car also got much louder after installing subframe spacers. Don't worry about it.
