Brake caliper leaking. Need advice.
![]() As you see in the picture, I have a leak. I guess that the seal is broken. Do you think I should just change the seal or put a new caliper in? I do have spare set of calipers. If I have to install a new caliper, how can I undo that part in yellow circle in the picture below? It is a parking brake line stay. What tool do I need and can I yank it out without power assist? ![]() |

Replace the caliper with your back up, then replace the seal. That way you still have good back ups.
And you unbolt the lines, then you can pull out the e-brake cable using the free slack.

LOL.. it's not a tool. Once you unbolt the line, you'll have room to pull the cable in and slip it through the holder in the line.

So you are saying that when I unbolt the fixture that keeps parking brake tight on the caliper, the parking brake cable will be loose enough slip out othe holder, right? |
