I just install the ver. 2 shifter, and it rattles once i am in gear. I know that B&M fixed the problem but this rattle i am hearing happens once it is in gear. So I am wondering is it my tranmission mount is old and causing the vibration which causes the rattle noise. Also when I am installing the SS, I have to press really hard for the white bushing to go in place, is this normal? thank you for any help. I have search the forum but seen no one have the rattle problem on the ver. 2 SS.

I had the V1 and it rattled like a mutha fucka in my KA. With my sr I cant hear it over everything else thats going on so I dont care. It is annoying as fuck though if your daily driving a car with sound deadining. I dont think that the transmission could make the new shifter do that. You might have gotten a V1. Where did you buy it?

I have the V2 and it rattles in gear also. I think its from shifters, I took mine off and no more noise.

I got it from a friend of mine. I am pretty sure it is V2 because the warranty papers says "2005 Limited Warranty Guide."

What do you mean by shifters and you say you took it off do you mean by you change it back to the stock shifter?

I guess I will change the tranny mount and see if that helps....

I have a V2 it also rattles. I tapped the loose washer on it and it got a bit better. YOu can try that but get used to it though.
