accusump setup

hi
here are some parts possibly for a decent accusump setup, just wanting some input.

http://www.alamomotorsports.com/pmc/Cat_page28.html
its made for 3/8the npt fitting and the accusump likes 1/2 inch npt but i think its close enough to get anoter fiting in between then for 1/2 inch outlets on that, and thats what size the accusump system likes.
here is some accusump links too.
http://www.accusump.com/acc_products...tall_kits.html
universal install kit
http://www.accusump.com/acc_products/acc_units.html
then check out the 2 quart pump.

get some mounting clamps. this setup could be had for around 300-350$ with valve

Accusumps are neat units but realize how they dump and fill... say you loose oil pressure in a corner... it releases it's oil into the system to keep it pressurized.. then begins to refill itself when pressure is returned to the system... usually on corner exit.. if you run into these issues then you might consider a drysump. It's more reliable.. Many racers look at these units as a bandaid. Although pre-oiling is good for a race car with race clearances and loads... it's useless for a street car..

Better yet, your oil capacity would be BIG. Do it BIG.

2 quart Accusump with electric valve would be the best bet. Much cheaper and easier to work with than a dry sump.

The real question is whether or not you need it. KAs have been subjected to high lateral loads for YEARS and from what I have been told starvation issues are rare. This said, it gets old having to replace big expensive parts that take hours to remove and replace.

Did you describe an issue? Or the process?

yes, dry sump is more reliable but that requires a whole exterior oil pump as well as all the appropriate plumbing, while accusump does the job and is much more compacted.

Jeez, Evan... chill out.

dry sump is always a better option, but most of this community won't have the know-how or necessity, really. an accusump, however, would be a nice bit of insurance; not all KA's are rebuilt.

It was an honest question. I wasn't sure if there was any "problem" described. Not one that I could clearly read.

Why have you been getting on me lately for asking questions?

I'm not being a dick..
You know I don't know enough about these to talk shit. I wanted more info.

So who's the dick now!! Haha
