s14 Ok..S15 steering wheel info yes i searched

Ok i searched over 4 forums (nico, zilvia, 240,club240, etc) and i need to know the real info no those who've done it...PS: this is on a S14 Zenki

1. IS the airbag/horn plug n play or not?!?! some say it is, some say its not. etc its getting ridiculous...

2. Whats the real fix for the clicking noise and the steering wheel turning back too slow?

Searched? You lied, SAYING you searched will not prevent the "similar threads" at the bottom from being there... You kno what? Those are the same ones that would show if you used the last-ditch search to the right of the title before starting a new thread. Here they are:

woooow!! u showed me!!......... :/

first link: guy asks a Q, another guy states something (reason why i started this thread), then the person asking a Q doesn't respond, not enough proof to see if he's right or not.

2nd link: VERY helpful!! seeing how i have a zenki... :/ ...

dont worry about people telling you to search, its only because they dont know the answer either. ive tried searching for plenty of things on all these 240 forums and all i find is people asking the same question i have and getting these same retarded responses.

anyways, the s15 steering wheel is somewhat a "bolt on" affair. what you have to do is turn the clock spring a quarter turn clockwise so that the plugs for the airbag and the horn with the hole on the s15 steering wheel that they fit in. one of these plugs has really long wire that will have to be tied up so as not to get in the way of the rotating steering wheel (i imagine this is why ppl have slow response and clicking noises). next you have to drill a hole for the plastic piece on the clock spring to stick through. this hole will be right next to the oem one and so we plugged the oem one with a piece of rubber in order to keep that rubber piece where it needs to be in order for the clock spring to rotate with the steering wheel properly.

and thats about it, the rest of the tools needed and instructions and such can easily be found from reading the fsm (dont touch your car without one of these).

the only problem you might have with this, is since the clock spring has to be rotated clockwise a quarter turn, it will be easier to break when jerking the wheel hard clockwise as far as it can go since you will be tightening the spring more than it is made to take, but it should have enough in it to survive(at least that is what im hoping, mine has been fine so far).

good luck, it is a great mod to do, the steering wheel really looks and feels so much better than the stock one.

edit: oh, and yes your airbag and horn will work fine as long as you plug them in, i didnt even throw a code or anything.
