s13 Lower spring plate position question

Hey folks this is really kinda odd. On my front suspension, the lower spring plate on the drivers side is about 3/8" off the top of the tire. On the passenger side, the lower spring plate is about 7/8"s off the top of the tire.
Notes to consider:
The car was slightly hit in the passenger front end enough to bend some of the inner fender under the stock battery location.
The car has OEM Silvia front struts with OEM (USDM) 240sx springs.

Anyone else encounter this issue?
