Just look around. FN's are so popular you are bound to find a red Fastback wearing black, and another wearing bronze to compare.

Well if I dont get 17x8's all around I'll be going with 17x9 +20 245/40 for the rears (-2 camber or so) and for the fronts I'm not sure yet. 245/40 wont fit without a pull in the front and I dont want to pull. So its either 235/45 or 17x8 +35 with a 225/45 tire and a 5mm spacer.
If I decide to get 17x8 all around then I'll be getting silver with 225/45 most likely. What about be really nice is 17x8 +35 235/45 with a 10mm spacer front and 15mm spacer rear. That would be really flush. But I dont know if I want to spend the money right now on the spacers (260 just in spacers). I could just get 215/45 for now then later get 235/40 with the spacers. I would like to get coil-overs soon so thats why I need the extra money. |

Hyperblack is not black. Here are the color options.
http://www.splparts.com/Parts/Univer...en/default.htm Hyperblack is more of a shinny gray. Hyperblack also changes colors/apperance alot with different lighting. Like I said, I would rather have silver but the 17x9 +20 are avilable in bronze, hyperblack, matte black and black polished. Not silver ![]() |

I was in the SAME exact situation as you, gettin fns for my red car. well after thinking about it and doing some choppin, I decided the hyper blacks were for me. im only doing rear right now, but of cource will complete it soon. I ordered the 17x9 for my s13 in HB becasue my buddy convinced me not to go bronze, although I think i would have liked it. but they were out (spl) of the 17x9 till next month, so i decided to go 17x8 +35, just got some 245/40/17 Ecsta MX for the rear, (i ordered them before spl told me the rims were on backorder, and the tires were already out for delivery, +1 for tirerack.com shipping) so ill hope these fit, otherwise id a gotten 235's maybe. anyway for the front i have some toyo proxes 215s that were on my brothers car, and just gonna put them on to save money, probably go with a 17x8 up there too. I had some pics of the photoshop but they sucked, ill take some pics thursday when they are on the car. is your car kind of a maroonish red?

No its the bright red.
Well after doing some thinking I think I should go with 17x8 +35 in silver becuase the wider the wheel and the more offset the more strees on the hubs and studs. The x8 +35 is better for daily driving. Sunken yes, but its more streetable IMO. The less strees the better. Now 5 lug is another story. 5 lugs can handle alot more strees and weight becuase of the pattern of the studs and haveing more of them. So your going to have 17x8 +35 with a 245/40 on the rear? Then what with what on the front? |

I think if you cannot do silver, then try bronze and see how that works.
If you're still indecisive, then maybe you should get compare shots of them as ThatGuy said and maybe run a poll to see and get better results from everyone. Good luck ![]() |

![]() I know what bronze looks like on a red s13 but I haven't seen a hyperblack on a s13. But since I'm going with x8 +35 FORSURE I'll just get silver. I think I'll be pretty happy with that. The hub stress is what changed my mind about 17x9. I didn't think of that at the start of the thread. Otherwise this thread wouldn't be here ![]() |

![]() woot i said 215 in front since the tires will be free, that would be crazy stagger but if it works then why not. I see a million people running 215 on a 8 inch rim, but not many 245s on a 40 profile, thats the part im worried about, but we will see. |

black or gold on a red car. im over bronze like a hangover. went that route on my blk Ek. i think ive done almost every wheel combo. have my gold VS-XX's going on my red kouki. probably pick up a set of rota track-r's for the civic. that would officially mean ive done it all. glad you read all of this, huh? lmao. g'luck with your decision.
