KA KA24de Can a 96 KA work on a 91

Ok I have a friend of mine who has a 96 Ka, I'm in need of a motor for my 91 240sx. I wanted to know if anyone knew if this engine would fit which I think it should and if it would work. And is there any type of modification

Has anyone in there right mind done this?

use the 96 block and head.

This isnt really what you'd call a swap... Its basically the same engine with different cams, thats about it. Lower miles is probably helpful, but beyond that there are very few differences.

there's no rule that states it has to be an upgrade to qualify as a swap. a swap is a swap. changing one engine in for another.

ka-t is good. www.ka-t.org for more info.
sr20det is fine too.

best thing you can do is find someone with a ka-t and ask for a ride. do the same with the sr. pick which one you like better, figure out how much each costs for what you want to do, then make your own decision.
