junction box, necessary for 5 speed swap

Is the junction box a necessary part for a 5 speed swap on an S14? From what I've read you can just bypass it and go straight from the master to the slave without the need for it. Reason I'm asking is because I just placed an order for some parts to do my swap and I don't want to order anything I won't end up having to use.

The sales guy I talked to mentioned the use of the NISMO clutch line that would eliminate the need for the box, but I'm just double checking.

you can use the hardline to soft line and eliminate the ??box?? it is a pita to bleed anyway so I didnt install it when I did my swap. nismo line just replaces that last bit of flexible rubber hose between the hardline and the slave.

well the sales guy is an idiot because its called a dampner not a junction box and its designed to eliminate possible vibrations in the pedal from the clutch at higher rpm's. I would say dump it, they are a pain to bleed. If you need info on the auto to 5 speed swap look in the zilvia faq and archive section.
