coolant pouring from hole in waterpump Assy.

Ok so I just installed a new OEM fit Koyo rad. and new hoses and clamps. My Rad had cracked last a couple weeks ago and Ive only driven it once since then.(just back to my house after discovering what was wrong at a friends house)
I followed all the instructions in the FSM. It was a super easy install. Then, I was pouring in 7 qts. of new coolant and i noticed my feet getting wet. I inspected, and saw coolant was leaking from my waterpump/pulley assy.
The part of the waterpump that connects to the mech. fan pulley has a small drain-sized hole in the bottom. I cant tell whether thats supposed to be there or not. It obviously supposed to be plugged at least bc im sure 6 out of the 7 qts of coolant is on my driveway now.
please if anyone can help itd be much appreciated.

There is a hole there, but it's not supposed to leak. The seal that prevents that from happening has gone, so replace the water pump.

that small hole under the pulley is there for the bearing of the pump. im guessing its for cooling the bearing down. Once you overheat the engine, the seal that keeps coolant out of the bearing gets fried and lets coolant pass through the bearings and out the hole under the pulley. You have to replace the water pump! Might as well change the thermostat while you're at it.

Get an electric fan while you're at it, or at least a new fan clutch. Electric fans are quieter and add like 1 horsepower!

beating a dead hose here, but if your weep hole is leaking, you need a new water pump STAT.
