ok I dont have a picture of it and I know, thread is worthless without pics
but. On s13s (specifically SOHCS, I dont know about DOHCS since I own just sohcs now)
The stock ignition coil mounts to a bracket on the shock tower. This bracket has another unit directly below mounted to it, and has a plug hooked onto it. If I unplug it the car wont start, its attached to the big bulky braket though and now that I have the msd/msd blaster coil I eliminated the stock coil from the mix and wanna get rid of that thing... plus im curious just what the hell its for!
I know I know noobish question and dumb thread id flame myself if I seen it but im at work and cant get a pic of what im talking about here so spare me people
