![]() ok i did search so dont flame me just yet, i got ripped on a "vlsd" that turned out to be an open diff. i got pist and tore it up(not literlly) and am looking for some options.
are those obx helicas good on ebay? i dont need anything special just a ok lsd for normal driving conditions and sum weekend fun. i am not considering welding it i think i read somewhere that i can swap a 300zx guts to my s14?, also what should i watch out for when swaping guts. keep in mind im on a tight buget, raped $350 + w.e this is going to cost. i also want to keep stock gear ratio |

z32 NA (turbo wont work) is same diff, so use that and your VLSD output shafts as Z32 is 5bolt
I don't know, but on S13 u need to just swap the diff cover (4bolts) but I never really copared the Z32 vs S14 (both 2 bolt) so you may or may not have to even do that. |

easiest way is to go to a junkyard and buy a j30 diff (only certain years though, i forget), it bolts right in and the right output shafts, test out the diff by turning the ends in the opposite direction, if it's difficult to turn, then it's good, if it spins freely then it's bad, gear ratio is slightly different, really not that noticeable...
