I find it amazing people still ask this remedial, beaten to death shit. I know I've typed it at least three hundred times before, but here it is again for the lazy people.

ALL 89-98 240SX TRANSMISSIONS ARE THE SAME

Only a few sensors differ throughout the entire production run.Nothing else. You could have even looked at them both and figured that out.

theres no emissions on a tranny and thats what the OBD1/2 systems are for. tranny sensors are useless (becids the VSS) i have 2 of 4 un hooked.

I believe you are wrong on that. There's the CPS on the S14 tranny used for OBD 2. Not needed to run but will throw a code.

That won't do anything, an S13 transmission won't have the CPS, so no matter what ECU is fitted it will still throw a code.
The correct way would be to put the S14 bellhousing on the S13 transmission and keep the CPS, but we all know this anyway.

i was wonderin the same thing. if all the tranny from 89-98 were the same, my tranny just broke down and ive been looking around to find myself a good condition dual head tranny for my 91 hatch. will 89-90 tranny will fit to a dual head one? without switching bellhousing and sensors? no mods need to be done? i heard people said itll fit and dont need to switch bellhousing. i just wanted to make it clear since sohc transmissions were everywhere in my place

I could make it life like and reach out from the monitor with a choke hold around their neck, still wouldn't do anything.

mah bad people well just wanted to make sure, but i respect all the reply...its just that some people say that u have to replace the bellhousing. ok since the big black text said it all....what do u do with the sensors? swap or what? i heard from other forums u have to check the resistant then go buy a resistor then solder it to the sensors....just need a proof it works

It's for the actuator to discombabulated the flux capacitor. NightRider says "becareful not to touch turbo boost" at 88 miles per hour!

Dude you should be fine, the transmission is the same. If the harnesses end up being different, swap the s14 harness onto that transmission. Good luck sir
