Gutted trunk lid, need pins/latch.

I just finished gutting my trunk lid and removing hinges/latch. I am planning on running pins on the top left and right corners of the lid and then 2 latches on each side of the key hole. Has anyone gutted there lid and what did you do to secure it. Also I am having trouble finding a good latch besides the sparco one. But I dont really like the spring setup they use for the trunk lid straps. Thanks

just use 2 hood pins, one on each side. You dont need that many points because it doesnt tend to want to come up since the wind is pushing it down. Sparcos work fine.

I am planning to use 2 pins in the top front left/right side of lid. But sense I have no latch or anything now there is nothing holding the rear of the lid. It would surely move around.

I agree the sparco style hood pins are a nice setup. Much nicer than the other style and $28 shipped is a bad price.

That's a good idea, if you have a spoiler it will also push the trunk down in place.
