KA Knock Snesor & o2 sensor?

well It's been doing this since I got the car a few months ago..I just swapped in a rebuilt KA, so I'm sure it's not the motor alone casuing this (the shop that did the install used all my old sensors)...It's a '93 5-spd

Long story short my cars throwing a code for the O2 sensor and the Knock sensor, It won't rev past 5.5k at WOT in gear or not...If I slowly increase my pressure on the gas pedal I can get it to 6k sometimes...While actually driving though it stops making any power past 5k..It's bounching off it like theres a limiter..Would the knock sensor be causing this?..or a combination of the knock sensor and o2 sensor? I already tried unplugging the 5th and 4th gear sensor which didn't change a thing..

Any help would be greatly apperciated before I drop a fair amount of cash on the o2 and knock sensor...

Also is $300 about normal for a brand new oem knock sensor? (thats about the pricing I can find around here)

A problem with the Knock Sensor and 02 Sensor will result in your car running abnormally rich.

You can get an OEM replacement KS for ~$150.

A word of caution, the Knock Sensor is a pain in the ass to get to unless you know what you're doing. If you do plan on replacing it (and you should if you wan the engine to run right) make sure you lift the car and get to it from underneath.

Good Luck!

So is it as easy (I use this word lightly..lol) taking the old one out and putting the new back in? or are there other things I need to worry about?

and sorry for asking so many questions..one more..lol I understand it would cause the car to run rich...Would that cause the reving problem?

If it has happened since you got the car, then check and make sure the knock and o2 sensor is pluged in and the wires are good.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/secondtier_s13.html

it has a pic of the knock sensor if you scroll down.

Take your car back to the shop that did the install & have them check your sensors. A defective knock sensor will not turn on your CEL..a bad O2 sensor will!! Have the shop check your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor along with both your front & rear O2 sensors. Have them also check your cam shaft sensor...????...can't remember the name at the moment...the one that sits behind your motor and above the tranny. The shop could have damaged it when they were installing your motor.
Hopefully the above info comes in useful.

I really don't want to deal with that shop anymore..Overpaid for ok work...I guess Monday I can swing by there and see if they'll do it for free (I'm short on cash at the moment)...

The odd part is I got a code for my O2 sensor on my ECU but no CEL ever came on.
