Noob Q: How the hell u install the lighter?

how do you install the lighter? do you tap it? cause mine was ripped totally out and like i dont see no wires or anything. I'm going to buy a whole new dash, and i was wondering how to install the lighter thingy. My car is a 1995 s14.

Two wires coming from under the armrest (pumkin and black) going into a 2-prong harness that plug into the back of the lighter.

Look for the harness. If the harness is missing but the wires are there, you need to get another harness from the junkyard and solder the harness onto the wires.

You may want to use a relay to shut off current when you shut off the ignition. Otherwise your accessory may drain the battery.

You may also want to throw a fuse between the battery and lighter.
