i'm about to do this some time today, and i will follow the instructions on the faqs, but even tho of the faq says how to do it.. it doesnt really imply its advantages.. what are they?

would it interfere later if i dicide to get a cai a sri? would i have to put the resonator back? im not very familiar with the installation of them...

I just took mine out before the national convention. I felt the difference in throttle response. It's a little louder but sounds cool. I put in a K&N stock replacement filter (looks just like the stock one but K&N) I left the resinator pipes going down so it would draw in some cooler air. The only thing the resinator is for is sound supression. You won't need it if you get an SR because the turbo will draw in air, probably from a cone filter.

You actually need to take out the resinator for a CAI because the piping goes through where the reinator is. Basically you don't need that thing.

what about engine breathers.. or how some people call them.. air ducts? what are the advantages of using those? if anybody doesnt know what im talking about .. if you notice there is a little hose that goes from the "engine cover" to the intake tube that can be replaced with a little 2 inch thingy that looks like a filter... nways.. any gains on using that?
