Whats wrong with my sr20 ac?

i have a s14 with an sr20 red top.. the motor came with no ac belt on it so i tried to install one today.. when i put the belt on and started the car the compressor was spinning but the center spinning wheel on the compressor did not spin.. i was not getting cold air.. and yes i did press the ac button.. i checked the compressor fuse and swapped it out to make sure it wasn't a fuse, and it wasn't.. i'm pretty much stumped.. i'm moving back to Las Vegas soon and need to get my ac working.. any tips or advice?

Is the A/C wired up? Is the system charged with freon? Most Sr swap do not have working A/C.

check wires

use a test light or power probe on the fuse.

see if theres current going to it.

yeah all the lines and everything is connected..and i do have the condensor, drier and blower and it does have freon in it as well.. all it was needing was the belt.. but after i put the belt on i dont know why the compressor did not start.. (spun, but the center plate did not spin).. i might have to check the wiring.. i dont have a test light so guess i need to go buy one.. anyone had any other problems connecting thier ac? is it possible to turn off your ac via ecu chipping? i know with honda's you can make ac cut out with hondata/chrome.. i didnt know much about 240 ecu tuning.. are there any fuses under the steering wheel that has to do with ac? (my little fuse reference plate under the dash is missing).. this is frustrating!

I haven't seen a S13SR->S14 with working AC. The wiring of the AC controls between the S13 and S14 is different and most people do not spend the time to rewire the two different systems together.

I actually make conversion brackets that allow you to use the S14 KA compressor with your s13 redtop. No need to run R12, or have stuff welded...just bolt on and go.

Using an S13 SR compressor is odd, as you will need different lines, as well as a way to change the system over to R134a vs the R12 that they use overseas during those years. As far as the wiring is concerned, my harness from Yuri @ Wiring Specialties already had it wired in like it should be.
