Ok should I get this motor?
Here is the deal. I have a 1993 fastback with 189,xxx miles on it. Timing has never been done , never been rebuilt. It runs real good but ya know the miles are high and such.
In the long run I want to go KA-T. If I were to do that to my motor I would need to rebuild. So I was looking for motors online and on ebay I came across a KA from a 1995 with 80 something thousand on it. I have been talking to the seller and he says for $140 he will give me the motor and drop it off to me. He lives two counties south of me. Is this a good deal or not? He says he took it out of his car and put a 98 motor in his with way less miles on it. Sounds a tad wierd but I dunno. I really wound't mind having a motor out of the car to work on then plop it in when it is done. I just have to find out what is required to swap an s14 KA into an S13. Any info opinions are very very appreciated. |

I think... and dont quote me but the only difference between the 95ka and the 93ka is one's obd1 and obd2... and sounds good... i see ka's go for about 2bills all the time w/ about 100k ..... about the kaT..... go for it man.. you have an extra block to build on... why not.. ?

Sounds like a good deal, make sure you have him compression test it to make sure the cylinders are close.
