Ok, Im doing a sohc to dohc swap and i have a question regarding the distributor. My ka is from a 95 obd-1.5. I have almost everything to swap the engine in except the distributor. Is there a way to wire in the s14 distributor with the s13 harness. On s13's, the ignitor coil has a plug with 2 wires and the distributor has a plug with 4 wires. The s14s distributor has a plug with 6 wires. I was wondering if the extra 2 wires on the s14 distributor were for the coil. If it is, does anyone have the pinouts of the two distributors??

you'll have better luck trying to find the correct parts than trying to make everything you have work correctly.

yea i know. I can get a s13 distributor and thats what i plan on getting because of the external coil. But i need to drive my car right now and im just wondering if its possible.

Do it right the first time, don't half ass it by doing it on the fly to get the car running and then going back and changing it. I.E. put the S13 DOHC electronics on the engine.
