I bought my 98SE @29,000....when it hit 40,000 i noticed that the clutch was squeaking....drove it for another 10,000 miles and decided that turning up my music louder wasn;t gonna get my squeak fixed. So finally i broke that WD-40 that mofo...and BOOM! it is gone now!!! i can now drive in stop and go gridlock cali traffic in peace

Yup, it wil comeback to haunt you. Believe it or not, WD40 is not a good lubricant either.
I just live with it. Not that loud...

It is always there...it never goes away, it just hides and waits for the moment when you just started to forget about it. If you want, I guess I could help you get rid of your squeek forever. I will even supply the pen for signing your title over to me.

My pedal squeeks the worst when it's humid or cool outside. When we had 40% humidity and 95 degree weather, the squeak was gone. I had my friendly mechanic at the Nissan dealership show me what was wrong with mine and he showed me where the pedal assembly was worn and actually needs to be replaced (at 80000 miles? the car must have been driven really hard before me). It's going to cost me approx $75 for the parts & labor, but it's been cheaper for me to deal with it. It's been humid this week, so it's time to break out the WD-40 I guess
