i just found a vg30de in a junk yard that they are selling at 1300 with the transmission, but i was wondering if i should get the vg30 or an redtop sr. which will cost more on the long run and which is more dependable???

id say go for the sr.. im sure with the money you put into the vg you can have a well mod.. or semi mod sr and its just a vg30de(?) non turbo.... i dont think that is worth it.. iv heard alot of custom fab. needs to be done when installing those motor... its just me though man... whatever choice you pick you better be happy with it... or ill kick your ass..

Well.... VG30DE non turbo = 222 HP . . and probably a shitload of torque... Might be very very fun, but remember.. SR will be cheaper initially, and you can easily and safely extract more than 222 hp out of that engine. Torque, on the other hand.... hmmm. . Actually, I'm not sure. I'd say find a VG35DE haha
