what i did was remove the back seat and make a custom speaker mounting system. it still has plenty of room for a rear strut bar too, which is great. i have 4, 3-way 6x9" 220watt pioneer speakers. i used the existing swivel mounts from the old rear seat to make a bench that can lift up, and i can store junk and other stuff in. to get the front 6x9's to fit in the front doors, i had to cut some of the door, but not too much. all in all it took me about 13 hours to complete, and $20 for wood and $10 for the carpeting crap for the back area. it sounds really nice, i filled all the little areas with foam, so no car vibrating sounds when it hits a bass note.
tell me what ya think =) front left speaker ![]() rear left speaker ![]() rear speaker area ![]() outside of my car ![]()

if you all want me to i could, its not really hard to do. aim me at crioten if ya need help doing it.
and yes i used foam for the doors, i forget which kind, but just go to the hardware store and tell him that you are trying to reduce vibrations...etc. they should know what kind, and i think that it is really neccicary for the doors.

You should do a write up and put it on the site, and if you ever do it for someone else take pics of step by step, since you already finished yours. But that looks good.
And when you said that you used the swivel mounts from the seat so you could store stuff, are you talking about under the piece of wood/carpet where the seat bottom would be?

Sweet car. Looks like mine, minus the spoiler rust, orange peel, and rubebr side moldings <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
![]() I just said "screw it." I put 6.5" Pioneers up front and some Cerwin Vega 4x6 panels in the back. Sounds good <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> I probably should dampen my door. It vibrates like crazy. Jeff
