You do not need to remove the tilt handle to remove the steering wheel. If that's even what you mean, your description sucks.
As for the subframe, buy an FSM or lay under the car and look at it, it's not brain surgery. Drop the exhaust, remove the shocks and calipers, unbolt driveshaft, then drop it.

however, if you cant tell by laying down under the car and looking at shit, then you might need to have a more experienced person show ya so you dont hurt yourself.

1) Jack under bellhousing 2) Remove steering rack brackets 3) Unbolt LCAs 4) Unbolt engine mounts 5) Drop crossmember Nothing else needs to be touched. Sounds like you need to go back out and lay under the car a little too.

Sub frame: A partial frame that is sometimes bolted to the chassis of unit-body cars. It can be used to support the engine, transmission and suspension instead of having these components directly connected to the main body structure. This more expensive design generally results in better road isolation and less harshness. http://www.motorera.com/dictionary/SU.HTM Cross member : A brace or strut which provides structural stability for the sides of a frame -- often in the shape of an "X". http://www.motorera.com/dictionary/CR.HTM sounds like its a front subframe to me.. You are right. Would be a better idea to jack under the belhousing. O and MY bad on not saying he needed to pull the engine mounts. Kinda spaced it. Plus, ya cant tell someone how to do everything on their car. There is some things they just have to figure out on their own.. ![]()
