4 lug Break Upgrade

Looking for a break up grade for my S13, I have 4 lugs, I know about the 300ZX conversion but I don’t want to re-drill a 5 lug patter with a 4 lug patter, seam real suspect to have that many large holes in such a little space.

Chuki 180sx

Your only real option would be to go for the chuki/kouki (1994+ JDM) brakes. These are larger front rotors and calipers, although still single piston. You may, however, have a hard time finding pads and rotors to fit. I've heard that 1996-199X Maxima rotors and 1993-199X Altima pads work, but who knows if that info is correct!

I have hookups for rotors (albeit used) but I still haven't found a source for pads yet. I haven't had the need to change them yet. When I do, I'll post.

Maxima rotors from that era would also be 5-lug.

There's absolutely no problem with redrilling 300ZX (or any other) rotors to 4 lug, though, except for the extra hassle if you need to change rotors in the future. The rotor isn't going to crack down there on the hat. There's still tons of meat between the holes.

They're 5 lug as well. They're also 11", same size as the front rotors on a 300zx.

The Sentra SE-R Spec-V is actually 4x114, just like S13 and base S14.

Its brakes most likely won't work for us, though.

you could also go with brembo stock size zinc coated rotors, some steel lines and nice pads. i got mine for $400 for all for wheels for everything, you can find good deals and they perform and look great, they are hard to see behind the stock wheels though.

Didn't say they wouldn't, but you can't just willy nilly swap brakes between all cars... Based on experience with the Infiniti G20 I'd bet the FWD cars' brakes are somewhat different all around.

You CAN upgrade to Z brakes, you will have to get them drilled for the 4x114.3 bolt pattern... Check the thread in the group buy section from irotors.com, he will cut us all a deal, and you can get the calipers at an auto parts store or the dealership if you are rich...
