Camber, Caster, and toe...getting alignment to custom specs
I'm taking my car to get aligned in a couple weeks and was wondering what specs you all run? What is the max negative camber you can run on a stock setup? Can anybody recommend a good setup for camber, caster and toe front and rear?
Should the alignment be done with a 140lb (my aprox weight) weight in the drivers seat or should it be done with no weights? Any info or tips you all have on this would be greatly appricated ![]()

front camber -1.5 degrees
rear camber -1 degrees front castor max (unless you upgraded I don't think you can adjust it) front toe 0 rear toe in just a touch, like 3mm or less These are pretty much the suggested alignment settings given by whiteline for a street/ track car Since you plan to track your car, if the shop is willing to let you add weight, do it. I'd also go the extra mile and remove anyweight you would for a race, like the spare.

Oh, I will have adjustable caster. I wasn't very clear when I said stock setup, I just meant no camber plates or anything that would allow beyond factory camber.
Thanks for the setup suggestion ![]()

Rear toe in should make the car a little more stable on power. I run zero toe in rear for easier on-throttle rotation (zero in front as well).
For camber, I run -1.7 in front and an incredible -2.7 in rear (for lack of adequate adjustment at this time). If I could, I'd run about -1.2 or so in the rear. If you can adjust caster (how are you adjusting it?...t/c rods?), max it out...probably 7-9 degrees IIRC. |
