Anyone installed the Whiteline subframe align & lock kit? Need help..

Ok so I got my car inside the garage tonight to bang on stuff. I decided to put in the bushings which I got from PDM Racing today (KCA349). Got the rear wheels set on some wood blocks to give me a few inches of room and removed the nuts and the round plates from the front and rear on one side.

(l33t semi-exploded view ascii art here)

| ┌───┐ <- subframe
| └─╥─┘ <- bushing goes here (?)
|| ═╬═ <- mounting plate
||| ▀ <- nut

Now as far as I can tell, to install the non-cut rings (going for no change in diff alignment) they are supposed to go over the bolt, between the mounting plate and the subframe, below the subframe. However, putting the bushings in here doesn't work, because the bolts aren't long enough; the threads don't reach past the mounting plate with the bushings on top.

So I'm stuck. These are supposed to slip right on in minutes, but it looks unpossible to me. What am I missing?

hmm ok. I guess this should have been obvious. Found a post on a Yahoo group that says to jack up part of the subframe near the bushing to get it squish in a little. (Don at PDM is probably gonna tell me the same thing... heh my duh)

Now it makes more sense, just have to try again this evening and see if I can get them on.

Thanks everyone for... uh... leaving me to my own devices?

Yeah, I put them on a couple of weeks ago. The rear two bolts you will need to jack up the subframe, put the bushing on top of the washer, and put the bolt back on.

The front two subframe bolts you will not need to use a jack (at least on S14). It should only take like 3 minutes per bushing to do.
