radiator cap...help
so im trying to figure out what is the deal with my car. the temp gauge is constantly going way high then coming back down. could this be due to a bad radiator cap, because there is a little bit of antifreeze that is all over the radiator area, like it sprayed, but i cannot determine the source of it. its not the water pump, i just replaced that, so the cap is the only thing i can think of...any thoughts? i would really like to figure this out, i have a long trip coming up, so.....

could be a bad radiator cap. That is the first thing to replace, see if it takes care of it. If you are leaking coolant, hope it's the radiator cap, or you will have some repairs to do.

i just replaced that, i think it did the trick, thank god, but thanks anyway.
nothin like spending $5.85 to fix a car, and not having to worry about something like $400... thanks glen
