Yay another person in chicago.

ABout the price it can go anywhere from like 2000 - 10000 depending on what you put on, if you do it yourself, if you buy a clip, if you make custom parts, etc..

Well just liek getting caught driving on the roads without a license, these people should accept every flame or disagreement they get. I mean you can't drive without going through a simple procedure first, which requires learning and reading rules and laws. So if you get pulled over and thrown in jail, you deserved it.

If you don't read the forum guidlines for every forum before you post, and you post something like this, you should be shot...errr... flamed or whatever.

Maybe Newbies shoudl have to take a test that ask questions from the forum guidlines before they can post. Chit we all should. Weed out some of the fu-cktards.

Exclamation Please don't be cheap.

The best place I have found to get a motor would be Heavy throttle. They have shops in California and also Raleigh NC. Now make a little note to self on this one. When it comes to motors, you get what you pay for! Most of the motors on E-Bay, despite the fact o being extremely cheap, the engines, in most cases, are missing some components that you need. ECU, Wiring Harness, stuff like that. Now, when you get a motor from heavy throttle, they send you everything, and if a part is messed up, they will send you another one at no charge. Not to mention they have a really good waranty. The S13 clip is $2,900.00, but every penny is worth it. Remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

here is the heavy throttle site

Thanks man. Finally someone who doesn't think I am just some stupid kid who doesn't know anything. I just want to tell everyone that I hate riceboys. Hondas suck, and I got SSR reverse mesh wheels on back so I can be like drift look or whatever. What does drift mean? Sorry for the questions, I am new to this forums, and I usually know the answers on the ones I go to more often.

BTW, thanks Dousard37 or whatever.

dude if you flip your wheels around it will be like -20 offset. that would be sick! the face is reverable! damn cool huh?

im just sporting steelieson the front (i painted them gold) and SE wheels on the back. i added a red "lip" to it. looks like advans when im driving! hahaa..

drift means like when you pull the ebrake during a turn. damn yo, i got crazy sideways last night, coming home off the freeway exit, 25mph i took it at...30 mph! pull the ebrake and the car PULLED out to the left..damn, it was nuts. my buddy behind me (in his accord lx) was like "damn you crazy drifters" hahaha...sweet. im gonig out to that vacant field by my house tomorrow since it rained yesterday to practice some more. should be fun.

yeah honduhs suck. im glad i sold my civic DX 2 months ago and got my 240sx last month. sucker was holding me back man.

peace out doritos

Sweet. What year Accord does your buddy drive? My friend has 1 93 LX that runs 15's in the 1/4. Man i heard if you get a drift moter you can run like 12's. Is that true? Is an SR a drift moter? I want to be able to drift like you! That sounds crazy! Wait... I though you were only supposed to pull the Ebrake if you were parked. Hmm I dunno if this helps but I have an Automatic. i just put it is 2nd, and then slam it down to 1st. Autos in these older 240sx's are faster anyways because the trannies that aren't in a Honda ITR are all crap thats what my friend told me.

Ok, so Should I try drifting on my way home from highschool today? I get out at 2:30 and i know this road that is only crowded like 70% of the time... i could go there... do you think there would be cops? Or is drifting even illegal I heard it wasn't.

ahh my civic dx, ran a 16.1
i was trying to break into the 15s but no luck. i am glad i sold it. stock SRs run like 11s! crazy! i cant wait to get my s15 engine! sweet!

you got an auto? if the vin has a "J" in it then its a JDM auto! its tougher then that USDM crap! junk! hahah..i have a manual but i am learnng. my civic was a auto so i sometime downshift from 5th to 2nd still hehe.

oh maybe you know. my tranny grinds a lot and sometimes wont go in reverse. i dont know what's up. any idea?

yeah! you should try drifting! watch out for curbs. one time this curb jumped in front of me and i ran over it. fortunately that bus sign was there or i wold have hit some POS lexus hahaha..my buddy got it on video too. it was pretty funny. thats why i have run the steelies up front too, bent the Se wheels. but that's ok. even more drift able. i hope to get some Rotas for my car soon, i was thinking 17x7 +40 would be hella tyte! i use to have mansoons on my civic but they were 18x7+45 too high offset! low is where its at

illegal? i dont know. it takes crazy madd skills though. one day i am going to particiapte in d1. yeah.

good luck drifting. yeah drop it to neutral if you have problems, that's like putting the clutch in!!!

Man! You guys are wack. Why didnt you just put that SR thingy in your Civic? Then after that you could get a silvia conversion. If you were hella down for your crew, you could do a rhd conversion! Maybe even lambo doors! You'd get all the mad honies then. Stupid Nissans, everyone knows that Honda is king. Just look at the gas mileage.

Thanks man, i'll try after school and post my experience tonight. Do you liek my name? The 180sx was a fastback S14 they didn't make in the states. Dorifto is a chip company that I like and it also means "slide style bandtis" or something cool liek that in Japanese.

Nah, My SR is going to be a 5spd I think. I can't find any auto SR's WTF? Its becasue the JDM guys liek the auto's more that when they have 5spd cars, they get rid of them. thats what I heard... i mean thats why there are so many 5spd SR's for sale... no one wants them. Ah i can just bolt on the JDM KA auto tranny my buddy has in his backyard. He is like an importer.

Have you seen the ROta Slipstreams? They are copy of the Spoon wheels. i was going to get these in 18x7 with a +42 set or something What does the +42 mean? Is that good for 240sx?

Sorry for all the questions, like I said, I know them all on the other boards I post, but I'm new here. Thanks Dousard!.

i considered it i wanted the s14 front end on my DX. but i work at McDonalds (i am on burger flipping duty, i might make fry boy in a few weeks. yes, sweet) on the weekend, couldnt afford it. damn. yeah nissan is cool but i still miss my DX.

i might do lambo doors with this car though. that would be JDM T-Y-T-E...TYTE. be like that RX7 i saw on this option video..i think it was an RX7 could be an RX8 but it had lambo doors. i dont know japanese but i am learning.

good idea. my parents have a Honda Accord 98...so i do some ff drifting w/ it (YES FF cars CAN drift).

i saw one on a integra. sweet.

i dont knwthat +42 stuff is. i just know the higher the better. right? like 18s are better then 15s. so +42 is better then 0 andsuch.

I dont know why anyone would want RWD anyways. Since Honda is king and they only make FWD, that means that FWD is better!!!

I was thinking about doing an SR swap on my CRX, but I'm not sure yet. I found an add in the back of Import Tuner that said I can mail order an RB motor in pieces and put it together myself. Shouldnt be hard. What is the RB out of? Is that the motor in the JDM Sunny? If so, that is going to be mad phat yo! When are we going to start a drift crew guys?

Hey, ok guys... I found out some stuff: The JDM S14.5 was made from the actory from like late 2000 until late 2001. That was when the S15 was introduced my importer friend told me.

Also, our cars were based on the Skyline or something like that. that car rocks. ANyway, WE CAN PUT THE SKYLINE body AND moter in our cars!!!!! It comes with a V6. But SO does the S15!!! Sweet! So all we have to do it put the S15 V6 converzynn in our cars and its lie 400hp + from the factory. Does anyone know where I can get this moter? I am looking to spend about $2k with install, so i need a good reliable place that is sheap as well. Thanks!

but honda has that NSX -rwd, but i heard its a POS, probably drop it this year out of production. s2k was lame in the fast and furious. nitrious is cool but i wouldnt use it. my mom uses that stuff cuz she smokes too much or something. carries that tank w/ her everywhere. one day when she was sleeping i hooked it up to my car's intake but nothing happenned. nitrious sucks!!

RB? is that from a nissan sil80 special edition? that's what i read in honda tuning mag. (yes, im still subscribed). that would be sick

......thanks to a few of you for help.... im a noobie to this forum so sarcastic comments and ignorant remarks are a waste of time and I was honestly looking for some help and I guess this not a good place to find out. I dont know why people are so quick to mock or put down someone, but it doesnt matter im better than you.

Ive looked several places already and all i wanted to know is if any of you had a link or a price that was cheaper then what i have found, nevermind this is a waste since you are all going to make fun of me....**** you

AMEN!

I've never so much information in one thread! I had everything wrong about my car... I'll try to find a Auto tranny and some Skyline front lights for my 240sx... Might also convert this RWD to 4WD!!! 4WD is the best, right?
