How do you move a front clip?????

Ok i have a full front clip that I am picking up friday, (tehy will not deliver). I have a 6X8ft trailor to pick it up on. the clip is on a pallet and they will use a fork lift to get it on there. The traiolr has a good full ramp but how will i get the pallet off it? The weight is 1300lbs total. any ideas guys? So far here are our options.

1. put a hand pallet mover on teh trailor first and use it to roll it down the ramps.
2. Use steal pipes and roll it off roman style.
3. back the truck up and hit the brakes hard and slid it bit by bit. Im not worring about damage as the ramp as only a 35 degree angle to it.
Any ideas guys? how have you do this? Could i put the stock wheels on it an move it?

Rent a forklift before you go pick it up and take it to your house. Then go get the clip. Return the forklift when you get your clip off.

I don't know. Just go to a place where you can rent heavy equipment and ask them. Try to look for a good price. Also, have everything set up ahead of time so you can do it as quick as possible.

Heres our new idea. Hook the pallet to a chain and get ten or so people to pull it down the ramp on the trailor. how this sound. I figure 1300lbs and 10 people maybe less and we should be good

I used a jack to jack up the clip, stuck a couple of furniture dollies underneath and slid the clip down the pull out ramp on the back of the uhaul box van we rented to transport the clip.

Well... just pick it up you sissy!
You can do the smart thing, and get a winch, wrap it around a tree, and pull it down the ramp and into place.

What about five or six guys just picking it up and moving it. One on each corner, and two on opposing sides. Lift with the legs, and laugh and point at the wimp of the group. It's only like two hundred pounds per guy...come on now.

Maybe get some heavy weight wheels for the bottom of the pallet(s) so you can roll it around once it's on the ground.

why not just use an engine picker, thats what I plan ojn doing, just hook it up to the motor as if you were pulling it out and it'll lift, and if that doesn't work do what hooter did, in theory both should work damn well. Hopefully

put two steelies on the clip and push the clip. You might need three or four people, but I think it's do-able.

The problem I'll have with mine is that my driveway is like a 35 degree angle down wards so I'm afraid it will run away from me when I try to put it in the garage

Some guy did it with a couple of guys. Just find some neighbors/friends and go at it. All you need is 6 people. If it weighs only 1300 pounds. Get about a couple of your friends 7-8 of them. That clip will be easy. Its like a weight training workout. I'm foreal. Do it.

Why don't you jack the clip, install two steel wheels with tires and roll it down? 2-3 people should be able to balance it...

Heres what i have decided to do, I am renting a tilt bed trailor that is 10X18 and i got me a pallet jack from my shop. The trailor is totally flat and ill just tilt the traiolr and slowly raise the pallet and let it roll down. Should be no problem. It arrives tomorrow and ill post pics and a little review of my dealings with jdmrecycler.com. So far so good, now to see the product
