Taking off really strong tape

Hi all, is there any kind of chemicals or strategies to taking off really strong tape? I do not want to use brute force, which I am afraid of damaging my paint. I want to take off my spoiler which it used some pretty heavy duty double sided tape. I don't want to force it off which I am pretty sure I will crack my spoiler and rip off some paint in the process...Thanks.

WD40 would not damage the paint? I guess I will try that if it doesn't damage the paint. I will try a heat gun also...worth a try. Any more suggests? Any paint/body experts guru? Thanks.

Fishing line isn't ghetto. That's been the traditionally used tool for yeeeeeears for this kind of thing. Professionals use it all the time.

Is this an S14? You need to pull at an angle from the front of the spoiler and peel back. The front spoiler holes are oblong so the bolts can come out at an angle. I just took mine off for the winter and that's how I got it... watch out when you pop the trunk tho haha

heat gun will do just dont burn the paint and bubble it and use a razor to get it off then peel away at a 45 degree angle towards you. Also lacquer thinner works good for removing the adheasive. You can get an attachment that has an eraser that rubs away tapes, vinyl lettering and stuff without demaging your paint. the eraser brakes apart as u use it.

I was able to see it coming off of the rag.

Not a lot though. So you should be fine. Just a little elbow grease is all it takes.
Heat gun doesn't really work if the tape has been on for ages.
